Yep, that’s the one. Lancs looked on course for the highest total in English first-class cricket too, that being Yorkshire’s 887 way back in 1896, but we subsided from 844/5 to 863 all out!Surrey in 1990? About the time I thought he'd be a top test player. Probably would have had a chance in a set up like todays.
Nothing comes close to city for me.I love football (although nowhere near as much as I love City) but when it’s as good as today, cricket runs it a very close second.
You must’ve been unlucky mate. Could’ve been the wind direction or something. I’ve been to loads of gigs at Lancs and the acoustics are usually great. Most recent was Arctic Monkeys in June the night before the FA Cup Final and it was a tremendous gig with perfect acoustics. In contrast, I was at Coldplay at our gaff 2 nights earlier and the acoustics were all over the shop. I say that as a veteran of Coldplay gigs and they’re tremendous live but that night I could hardly work out a word of what Chris Martin was singing.Must admit, I went to watch Oasis and Richard Ashcroft there a few decades ago and barely heard a thing of the music. Could only really hear the 200 or so people around me singing.
Never been back for a gig there the sound is so poor.
Not sure but mine for tomorrow in the party stand is £84. Probably a similar price today I’d guess?Absolutely crazy. Short changing your paying customers like that. There's easily another 40+ minutes of daylight left. How much would a ticket for today have been?
It’s a bit daft if they don’t play until 19.30 tomorrow, we all know Saturday is going to be a washout. Not sure but mine for tomorrow in the party stand is £84. Probably a similar price today I’d guess?
Does anyone know if it will be a 6.30 finish tomorrow as well or do they play later on day 3 to make up some of the lost time on days 1 and 2?
Nothing will ever top following City for me but I think cricket is a better sport than football which is an opinion that tends to wind up some of my football mates!I love football (although nowhere near as much as I love City) but when it’s as good as today, cricket runs it a very close second.
Ah now; come on!Nothing will ever top following City for me but I think cricket is a better sport than football which is an opinion that tends to wind up some of my football mates!
