Cricket Thread

Earlier in the week Benkenstein said that he had spoken with the groundsman and that last season the wicket was not bowler friendly so he gave instructions to prepare more livelier pitches hence inserting Northants yesterday. That worked well??. No wonder he took Gloucester to rock bottom and Lancs relegated. Hope for better today.
That’s a shocker but (kind of) explains what I was going to raise, which was why on earth Lancs didn’t bat first.

Looking at the card from today it reads exactly like last summer; Jennings standing up and everyone else withering away.
Was thinking of popping down on day 4, but I’m pessimistic about that after today. Let’s see what tomorrow holds (and if it stays dry).

It certainly looks like no lessons have been learned over the winter, same personnel, same coaching staff, same arrogant tactics and the same results. The members will be in revolt again very soon. Personally I think big changes are needed at the top of the club - a far greater focus on cricket is required.

Most Lancashire members are revolting…….

OT grey and deserted.
Handshakes all round as Lancs last pair batted out time. Bailey faced 70 balls for his 8 not out.
Bohannon scored over150, let us hope his form has returned.
Pretty soulless though having to bat all day to stave off an innings defeat that they brought on themselves.

Bosh was really unlucky too. He hit a hard sweep shot that hit short leg and ballooned up for the keeper to catch.

Yeah, at least something salvaged, but slim pickings. On we go!
