Agree with almost all of the above, but with a small important caveat. We don't come across these type of wickets in England 95% of the time. You only have to look at the scores the season just gone, to see the amount of totals of 400, 500 and 600 regularly achieved on batter friendly pitches. No wonder we are totally under prepared when we reach the sub continent.Sadly losing the toss was the problem, you were always going to bat first knowing the wicket had been used in the first test and would get a lot worse from the first morning
England batting against spin on this type of wicket needed our bowling attack to fire and bowl them out cheaply
scoring 366 in the first innings won them the game, Why did England press the panic button when we were 200/2 or something like that,
You are up 1.0 in the series and in control of things in the 2nd test then in the blink of an eye you have blown it
England doesn't know how to play against spin, I pull my hair out watching some of our batsmen lack technique, even the mindset and the mental set when under pressure,
Let's just get this series out of the way and then bring in the new test setup and coaches in 2025
Agree mostly but some of the shots played beggar belief.Sadly losing the toss was the problem, you were always going to bat first knowing the wicket had been used in the first test and would get a lot worse from the first morning
