You might be right re: Dawson, though it’s harsh to judge him on the last test. It was a road after all.

Tongue is a wicket taker but I think he’s below Carse in the pecking order because he can bat a bit.

Who we pick for the Ashes will be interesting.

Yeah I see the batting issue and England seem to like someone who can bat! Would have been interesting a fresh Carse on this wicket!? Maybe he would taker a few..
 
England’s inability to bowl at the stumps is frightening. They have been doing this most of their lives yet they can’t consistently bowl on or near the wicket. What do the bowling coaches do? This isn’t just a recent problem either

And if Overton plays for England so can I

Skys production is shit. Looked up from my book and thought we’d taken a wicket. Where’s the big R to tell us it’s a fucking replay (or FR)

Been dipping in and out today. The bowling has been pretty appalling most the day but can’t complain at 150/6 really. Should have been better though
 
Why on earth is Overton playing? He’s terrible. Shit ball 4 after shot ball 4. Im 53, played county 2nd XI and recon I could still get 50 against him now, even with 2 new knees.

My guess is that he had a few good games in the first season of the Hundred, where Buttler was his captain.

He got him into the white ball squads and McCullum likes his attitude.

Sam Curran would be a far better pick.

The score is ok but the bowling is poor - that score is more down to bad batting (and running) than good bowling
