Crime on the rise / is society f*cked?

All my life a certain section of British society have been saying "This country is fucked" when for a lot of the time it wasn't.

There's a weird irony that now they are the very same people denying that the country is fucked when it obviously is, mainly because they fucked it with their choices.

London is far more dangerous than people realise. There are some very wealthy areas and high profile people which, in turn, brings the scum wanting some of that too.

Smackheads selling stole steak from Asda in a Birkenhead pub is nothing in comparison to the organised crime in London.

Some scumbag on a London street robbed Aled Jones with a machete, threatened to chop his arm off if he didn't comply, and took his £18,000 Rolex watch.
They got the guy and have locked him up but I wouldn't wear any expensive watch/jewelry in any big city,as it makes you a target for lowlifes like this.

I don’t even know why you’d have stuff like that on anywhere nevermind London, he will be out in a few years no doubt doing it again. I do wonder sometimes if the gloves need to come off with law and order when it comes to OCGs, they know exactly who they are and what they have, I do t know how they’d do it but just get it done. This then filters down hopefully!

Society does seem to be in a bad way.
Someone might interject and say it was worse in Victorian times or something, but that's not the point if you weren't alive then and part of that society.
Mental health issues, drug casualties, unjustified aggression, legions of miserable looking downtrodden people worried about the latest crisis.

In every generation, once you reach a certain age it’s compulsory to pontifIcate about the country going to the dogs. In the days before the Internet, you had to write to the Times or Mail with a monicker like “Retired Colonel” or “Disgusted of Tunbridge Wells”.

Nobody can afford a stamp nowadays but it’s cheaper than ever to sound off on social media, often under the real name “Karen” but with the option to pick a handle of your choice.
