At the moment im living and studying in Edinburgh and the list of the following is universally sold

All pies are deep fried with the filling dry and turgid , along with deepfried pizza
deep fried haggis, jumbo sauage(battered or not). in fact just about every thing is deep fried.
With Fish and chips it usually is curry sauce
they do not sell gravy but a thing called brown sauce
which is a mixture of vinegar and sauce.
and ...they do not sell Puddings, so the first thing I have when I get back down

Do they still do white pudding (I think it was called)? Used to love that when I was at Uni in Scotland.

I went to uni in Middles b rough for my sins and the Chippy owners up there need to be lynched. Firstly you ask for a chip barm and they look at you like you're from f*cking Mars. Secondly they re-heat everything to the point it nocks you sick, I got a portion of chips and donner meat (don't get me started on omni-chippies) and the chips were green.

Can't beat Chippies in Manchester, fact.

talking of crimes in a chippy i've seen a stabbing and a guy get beat half to death in chippies all for the price of a bag of chips

Never even heard of a white pudding, sounds manky though, i hate white stuff...

I think it was oatmeal or something so sort of like deep-fried porridge.
