Cristiano Ronaldo

Not bothered about Ronaldo - we pulled out because they wanted too much for a player his age. Why the rags want to buy another 36 year old I’ll never know - they don’t need him. I know Kane wanted to come to us but we weren’t prepared to pay £150m & anyway it was impossible because Levy wasn’t negotiating

However, what I don’t understand are the continual comments in the media that we have to sell before we can buy. WHY? We must have earned more than any English club last year & have no worries about funding the infrastructure which is outside FFP. How can rags, Chelski; PSG, RM (who are skint) etc just pop up & buy who they want. By the same rules why don’t we just bid for Haaland? Let’s take out a serviceable loan over 6 years to cover the cost. Stuff the wage structure- we have to compete in the transfer market as well as in the pitch.

I am delighted that Kane and Ronaldo aren't going to be at City where as Pep might be staying even longer...

No Kane or Ronaldo gives more possibility of hope for our academy lads.

Frankly I would like to see Pep almost forced to develop the youngsters and, as they improve, he realises he has a chance to build a third winning City team from their own youngsters and stays longer than currently planned to collect even more trophies.

I know I am just an ancient, happy clapper, dreamer but it is what it is.

Thing about this is that sky are saying city were ronaldo's preferred destination regardless if the rags and we've just pulled out if the deal. Really puzzling
They will say that to make United look bigger so that it looks like United nabbed him from under our noses. Please don't believe that Sky lie .

KDB had just broken the record for assists in Germany & was only seen as a Chelsea reject by the good ol UK press pack. He most certainly was a top player prior to us signing him
Respectfully disagree one breakout season makes you a hot property and a great player who is wanted by top clubs but not world class superstar. That’s what I mean when I say top tier.
And these players became those Superstars at City. Off the back of winning multiple titles and
Delivering consistently.

Go back and read , it was not about knowing you idiot ,i answered why he might not have been in a good mood , buy glasses and shut up
No I fucking won't you shut up,, you were insinuating he was in a bad mood because of that,, well he has seemed a OK for the past few weeks to me,
He would of known that was coming!

I can see both sides to the arguments for those who wanted him and didn’t want him

unfortunately we look like complete idiots for not getting ANY striker this season when everyone else around us has improved. Many talk about how only the prem matters, but then Chelsea are now better then us. If any of the games we have lost in the past few years have shown us anything it’s that we need someone to put the ball in the net when the rest of the team is having an off day. Ronaldo could have solved that, hell messi could have as well and he was a free. It is most definitely a huge disappointment to not add either of those two when they wanted to play here. It’s not like we signed a young striker that has a lot of promise like haaland or even vlahovic. We’ve come away with no one to put the ball in the net
Talking of complete idiots, how does Chelsea getting Lukaku suddenly make them 'better than us'. This is the self same Chelsea who finished 19 points behind us last season and we've added Grealish into the mix as well.

Piss can still runs the rags.

Nah. He’s stuck in the past & has wrongly advised OGS to buy Ronaldo just to stop us. No sense in the purchase from their point of view but he would have shored up our attack. But you don’t fall into the trap of buying players just to stop them going elsewhere

I never thought i would say it, but this club lacks ambition to be the best version of itself. Do the people running this club genuinely think other clubs would respect us because of our holistic ethos? Fcuking naive at best.
All on our refusal to pay Juve's 30m demands apparently. I guess United probably are. What a weird window.

It's such a fcuking slap in the face to go after Harry fcuking Kane for that exorbitant amount, and then refuse to pay Juve for one of the best and most marketable players in the world.

Our transfer policy has been dogshit for the last couple of years, and so has our scouting team.

At the end of the day we have spend 100m on Grealish, without doubt a very good player, but a 100m pound player in this market?

Yet we are reluctant to spend big on our biggest priority, a high class striker, sorry but I find our business and attitude this window very, very strange.
