Kev coming home. If there's one player in our team who I'd have wanted to come home early and be refreshed for the rest of the season, it's him.

Yes he looked tired and leggy in the last 30 mins, which is all I saw.
Maybe he was just disheartened by the appalling centre forwards he has had to service. When he gets back after some rest, he will have Phil, Julian and the Norwegian thunderclap in front of him, a totally different ball game.

It was always (doing my Toyah impression) a mystery to me how Belgium got so high in the FIFA rankings. Yes, their results were pretty consistent over a few years. But is that enough in itself to get you up into the top two or three in the world? They didn't win any tournament, IIRC.

Winning 6 games last world cup helped a bit.

There has been a dearth of good football so far in this WC. The games I've seen have mostly been dismal, tedious and almost funereal the longer they've gone on.
I thought Belgium were awful today. Really poor. Croatia were not much better and I can't see them progressing much further, but we did see an occasional spark from them, mostly Modric. But Belgium were just bloody awful, and that has to be down to Martinez. He is just piss-poor.
