getting crossed wires here mate tbh..Dickov will always be remembered for what he did that day whereas the Legends will be remembered for the many things they did..

No, maybe not on the same level as Bell etc, but he has to be remembered, and I wouldn't say he only gave us 1 good game. It was a massive game and massive goal though, and for that he deserves some recognition.

Disrespectufl for scoring a goal? You've been listening to too much 'gangsta rap'

Spurs employ him to score goals, he scored, end of!

No wonder this country is up shit street when people are getting a f'king mard lip coz a player scores against a club he played for for 5minutes.

Fuck me ...I made a comment about a player..no need to pull yer hair out.

ffs have an egg butty and chill.

You think he's 'disrespectul' coz he scored a goal...i think you need a word with yourself?

I take it you never saw Jimmy Greaves play or if you're not old enough, any TV footage? He played for West Ham/Chelsea/Spuds and he didn't hold back when he scored against any of them.

P.s. Bacon and black pud butty, that's done it for me this morning! :-)

I just think that the Pompey fans deserved better, thats all...relegated already all their players gonna be sold yet they still turn up and support..

maybe Im just a softie at heart.

scoring is what hes paid to do and he has to do it..the celebration is optional..

take Tevez when he scored against west ham..very respectful and many on here commented..

You are. I lived down there for sometime in mid 80's, when 8k used to turn up in what was the 2nd tier of English football. They are the most over-hyped set of fans in the country. I wish their decline to be slow and painful. But that's my personal opinion.

when I say good times I mean forging the partenrship with defoe which is now going on at spuds..

Well that was only 4 months, i give up

I always think you should celebrate for your team, certain exceptions but crouch at pompey no way

it was crouch v pompey, hardly anything to shout about.

At least Kranjcar spent a few years there etc., Crouch was only ever there for money, not like it was his Liverpool or Southampton time.

Didn't Crouch have two spells at Pompey? Makes no odds, though. Up to him whether he celebrates or not. Which of us didn't buzz off Tevez against the rags?

He did indeed - his first spell there was long before he ever pulled on a Liverpool or Southampton shirt. I seem to remember him scoring against us in a 2-1 defeat at Fratton Park in the 2001-02 promotion season under KK.

when i heard he had scored i wondered how he would react. when i saw it i was surprised but when you score i believe you should always celebrate. crouch is a genuine guy im sure he didnt mean anythin by it.

I think Crouch's emotion after scoring took over after not scoring in a dozen games or so, he seems like a good guy so doubt it was intentional to the pompey fans

Exactly, he was desperate to score having gone ten games without.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that peter Crouch's goal celebration against porstmouth was a bit disrespectful..
he had good times there at pompey and the fans loved him, portsmouth are going through the mire with relegation nailed on so I think it was totally uncalled for..
Krancjar's celebration was very low kew as he too is ex pompey..

He only spent 1 season there and that was relegation avoiding season!!

GOOD TIMES!!!

He actually spent more time there before his big money move to Villa in 2001/2?
