Crying Fans.....

Don't be harsh. I've no particular affinity for either of the teams that went down today but watching those pictures gave me a moving reminder of what we've been through over the years, and I wouldn't wish that kind of pain on anyone. Let's show a bit of grace and humility after our most successful season in recent memory.

Not been a city fan long then?

I was in the Platt Lane for Luton 83, at West Ham in 85, in Platt Lane (or Umbro Stand as it was) against Liverpool 96 and at Stoke 98.
Was gutted at all of them but didnt cry. Not trying to imply i am hard or anything, but i had a brother who died when I was 17, he was 21. I cried then. Perspectives and all that.

When we got relegated against Liverpool, it was the first time I felt it. Not old enough to understand before then. Holllow feeling, cried my eyes out.

Didn't feel as bad against Stoke or Ipswich. Stoke was a strange feeling, we all stood there clapping players off, and singing about being at Macc the following season.
