Crystal Palace (A) | Post Match Thread

We are a hypocritical lot, myself included. If Raheem had missed those chances that Bernardo missed he would have been lambasted on here. Not the first time this season Bernardo has missed in the six yard box and usually Mahrez hits the target with his chances. Liverpool would not have played any better than us last night but they would have won the game by two goals at least.

A hard one to watch really, but gave off the distinct impression it was not going to be our night from very early on, total domination first 10 minutes, but didn't make it count.

In summary, Bernardo and Laporte both missed 2 (easy by City standards) , 2 woodworks, and Foden and Mahrez both missed good chances. Our defence looked vulnerable to the quick counter first half, but improved in the second. On another day, with the same chances (Sporting away ?) we could have scored 5 or 6.

Not a bad performance, just poor finishing and a shit result!

We should keep our sh*t together, we must not forget who is our coach. The most important month for us is April and I believe Pep/Lillo/Borrell are doing everything to prepare us for the most important period of the season. We're holding everything in our hands, don't expect dippers to win every game too. I don't complain pep haven't made any subs, but from the half time, I was cheering for a Raz coming in.

Agree we need to focus on the positives at this stage of the season. Stones playing superbly. Foden and Bernardo need bit of tweaking to get best out of them When Bernardo plays well city play well. Would like Phil bit deeper to use his passing range and be able to run with it and shoot not stuck with his back to goal.
