Crystal Palace (H) Post Match Thread

Pressure's off now. Settled formation and line up for rest of season. Was having my doubts about the LB position recently, I've switched sides now!. Again though, we are not ruthless enough, if we cannot raise our game to match that of our opponents (who are playing their cup final) then we can come unstuck. We're not half way through the season but Liverpool have won the title. Do you not remember 2014? Full credit to Palace though, they are in a false position, should be higher up the table, despite me thinking we'd batter them today.

Not seen it back yet. It was a cracker and the guy in front of me clapped. I didn't though.

Fair play to the guy being so calm to clap during the heat of the moment. I was livid when it went in due to the stupid defending that invited it and also I was just getting over the exact same thing happening 2 minutes earlier.

But as I have calmed down a bit.. thought I’d take another look and it’s actually even better than I remembered.

Can we not get Roberts back? Pep seems to have his favorites in the frame. Ota and Gunda seem top of the list. For me they slow down play. Stones should always partner Laporte bar injuries.

Completely agree.

Love the guy but he fucked up today, think it was a conscious risk he took trying to keep players fresh, but the Prem is No.1 priority for me, preferred he’d have rested players for Leicester mid-week.

Anyway, onwards & upwards. CTID.

The CC whilst nice to win perhaps needs to take a back seat next season.

Walker is a liability, at fault for the first and crap challenge for the penalty. Really infuriating display where we just kept on lobbing the ball aimlessly into the box.

Definitely need to beat the Dippers but our performances are worrying at the moment

This lobbing the ball in the box is creeping in to our play. Without Silva though we struggle to create anything.

Today (23 December here in NZ) is our 51st wedding anniversary.
Got off to a bad start when we conceded 3 and got beat at home by Palace.
And then I logged onto ESPN and saw the rags' scoreline.
Oh well, it can only get better with dinner and drinks later in the day.

We've been poor for a month.
Attacking wise, our opponents putting two men on each of our wide players has stiffled us and the players in the middle are not exploiting the extra space they are getting as a result. Bernardo has dropped off the pace a bit and we're missing Silva badly and Mahrez is not putting a good enough shift in.
Defensively we're below par. Ottamendi is dreadful, Walker totally shot and our AMs/Wingers are not picking up the runners when the opposition attack.
PS: Stones isn't a DM either.
