Let’s just give the other team two goals before kickoff so we can go undefeated this season.

Bernardo is so important to us

MOTM in my opinion.

We need to be playing like we did in the second half right from the off....we came out half arsed and ended up behind. Second half we were a different team....esp Foden Walker, Stones ...Bernardo was the only player in the first half who played well and he was even better in the second half.

Haaland is a pure finisher...he wont get involved in games much but he is a class finisher....with him playing like he does we need dynamism in midfield as compared to last year we are now a man down in midfield as we use to have either foden, jesus or whoever dropping deeper...Haaland can do this but he is much more effective doing what he does best.

KDB is great in possession but needs to do more when we are out of possession....he will get there when he gets to full fitness as we have seen this before from KDB where he isnt at 100% fitness and leaves holes in our midfield when we havent got the ball...that wont continue however

Thought Alvarez looked good again when he came on...deserves a start in a front 3 along with Haaland and one other

Ederson couldnt do anything about the goals but he does really need to wake up at times ...that throw out situation that ended up in a goal Im totally sure should have been disallowed.

Deserved to win in the end but we made hard work of it

I bet the match day thread was a sight to behold at half time. I deliberately stay away from it when I'm not at the game but when I looked on the BBC website I thought.... oh my goodness it will be exploding on the match day thread. *lol*
 
Sounds mad saying this, Obviously Haaland hat-trick won us the game and he's by far the best striker in the world...BUT

That performance was Julian Alvarez was absolutely sublime. He was a joy to watch. Changed the game when he came on not only is be relentless but by god can this lad play!

Very poor first half. Conceded two but the most worrying thing was the way we were playing. No structure or spark and to be honest I couldn't see us scoring one, let alone four.

2nd half we were like a completely different team. Played with composure and balance.

I think we're still trying to adapt our way of playing the new system and we haven't quite fully got the balance right. Second half gave some signs of things to come though when it all does click into place.
