Crystal Palace Thread 2013/14

No idea how we played today. Out of the cup is always a huge blow, because we could have done with the momentum. Also would have given us a chance of getting Brighton on Charlton. Very disappointing.

Perhaps more disappointing is Williams did not get on. I feel so sorry for him. Unless he starts wearing stilts is not going to play for us. Would be best to sell him somewhere he can play. We can use the money to reinvest in players Pulis ones. It's like the Mata situation on a lower level.
 
They looked dead and buried before Pullis took over. Brilliant job he is doing for them

Fulham and Cardiff don't look great to me at all, I can't even predict who will join them right now
 
Great result today. Cannot get much better for the new signings than both of them scoring. Ince was great and we looked very dangerous with our front 4. The defence was not as great, but Speroni bailed out as when we needed it. Best part of the day was seeing Glenn Murray get on. We can really stay up. Pulis has done an unbelievable job.
 
A lot can be said about today, but best to start with the positives. The display before the match was fantastic and a lot of time and money was spent getting it right. The pictures I have seen looked great.

Right from the start today there was a nasty edge to the atmosphere and a huge police presence. The Cantona songs, the cheering through the minutes applause and the masks only made things worse. A couple of things were thrown at Rooney, which should not have been and that will be dealt with. Other sings were said, but we should not have sunk down to their level.

Now onto the match. The team played well and worked hard, but Ince and Chamakh did not have their best games. It was great seeing Murray back and he looked as good as new. Worked hard and with a bit of luck we may have got a draw, but we are not getting that luck against the top teams. In the end they always seem to break as down with the bit extra quality. It's perhaps time we changed things up against the big boys even at the expense of our goal difference. We are the only bottom team to have not taken points of the top 6.

Don't care as long as they did not say anything that crossed the line. Stuff being thrown is out of order and rightfully they will be banned from the ground.

Yeah I get that, they just look stupid.
