Cycling Advice

My ‘cycling advice’ right now is to get Eurosport on pronto, cos they’ll be heading up the Angliru very soon!

Some actual cycling advice;

When riding in a cross wind, make sure you have a fairly wide grip on your bars.

My ride to work this morning in a 22mph, gusting 41mph head/crosswind was 'emotional' to say the least.

According to the Met Office I have a 21mph, gusting 38mph tailwind on the way home, so that should be fun.

Can any of the experienced cyclists tell me whether tubeless tape is as good as adhesive for a 700C Road Tub?

I need to replace a rear tyre and I've never had the pleasure of doing it before

A road Tub where you glue the tyre on. Nope. Tubless tape is just tape that helps seal the holes to make a rim airtight. It doesnt stick the tyre on. Air pressure holds the tyre on in a tubeless set up, on a Tub the tape is basically double sided glue and the glue + pressure holds the tyre on the rim.

That’s what I meant sorry... the double sided stuff (I’m getting two rolls of Tufo tape with the tyres)... is it as good as glue these days?

Can't help you. I have never owned a set of tubs as I have never fully understood how you change a tyre. Sounds like a right faff. If i had to do it i would go to YouTube for a steer.
