Why are mount and chilwell out yet the whole Scotland side bar Gilmore are free to play?

This is a decision taken by the England management in conjunction with Public Health England, not UEFA. UEFA use a testing routine similar to that used in the PL last season, so Gilmour is automatically ruled out having tested positive.

If Mount and Chilwell continued to test negative they could have played as far as UEFA are concerned but PHE seem to have recommended that they isolate. In the same way Scotland make their own decisions on isolation as long as no more players test positive.

One of the DT hacks the other day said that if England were to progress they should become 'more Manchester City'! Sterling on one wing an' Foden on t'other. He raised the question of who would play the Kev role and he plumped for Mount! I think Southgate on hearing the news ditched the Manchester City play-alike model and chose his much more favoured approach - play like Frickley Colliery (apologies to the colliers!)
