Dirty bastard. That's twice Ive read his name on here this weekend. The other time was in a thread on the main forum that diverted itself to end up about Franny Lee.Alan Ball?
Sorry mate I can't recommend anything.I'll take my chances...………………………….I think ;)
Digital Audio Broadcast.I don't even know what a dab radio is mate. If I did, I would solve the problem for you for sure.
The finest technical minds on Bluemoon offer their wisdom and you flounce off to fcukin Halfords?I’m beginning to think I shouldn’t of bothered asking this,it’s apparent too many are still on the piss and in a Christmas mood still but never mind I’ll just go to fucking Halfords in morning :)
Exactly Sir B. He could have gone to a sweetshop and a charity shop and solved his problems and had Dip Dab Radio for a few quid...Sweet music ; )The finest technical minds on Bluemoon offer their wisdom and you flounce off to fcukin Halfords?

Says his current car is bloody awful on FM and MW. Sounds like a dodgy earth or fucked aerial to me.Tell you what, mate. If I ever meet the OP I’ll give him a poor reception.
The DAB in my works van is shit, the signal constantly drops out, often even when the vehicle isn't even moving!
There aren't enough DAB radio antennas to give a constant signal in the UK. I don't know what the UK coverage percentage wise. I know certain areas which have no coverage, depends where you are. Towns and cities are most often no problem, out in the sticks is often a problem depending a lot on terrain. Blackspots as is known in the industry.I have heard similar that basically they are shit in a car. There was going to be a digital switch date like for TVs where the analogue signal was switched off but I understand that idea has been ditched, possibly because unlike TVs radios are moved around a lot and the DAB receivers don't seem to cope with it.

Buy a modern car instead of an old Ford Cortina.
I have a DAB adaptor that plays through my old FM car stereo - works great for me - very seldom lose signal at all.
How much and where from mate ?,been looking and reading about these this morning.
Decent one on Eurocarparts under £40Amazon 2 years ago - cost £89.99
Type "dab radio adaptor for car amazon" into google and open the Amazon page they are as cheap as £20 now ( FFS ) although I'd pay that bit more to get Bluetooth included that way you can use your phone AND stream stuff from your phone too. The only issue I had at first was the grounding or earthing it to the car. Make sure you can get the magnet onto some metal ( behind the roof liner or door pillar ) for the best performance - as I say mine is great as gar as I am concerned
