I think I might need the tin hat for this, but here goes:

If we don't manage to get Nasri, how about we play Tevez in the would-be Nasri role?

I have often thought how brilliant he is at his vision and passing when he comes deeper. He's bloody fantastic at it, control, strength, awareness and there is ALWAYS an end result of a successful pass to another player. He really is top in this position. He always puts in a shift and we could probably rely on him to track back and tackle a bit too.

Imagine

...............De Jong........................
.............................YaYa...............
..Silva/A.J..........Tevez......Silva/Balo
......................Kun/Edin.......................

I think it would work really well.

That spot is reserved for Silva. Silva is not a winger.
Silva's starting position in pretty much every City game he's ever played has been either the left wing or right wing, depending on whether the other wide man is Balo or AJ. We then push our full backs up really high, allowing Silva to play infield whenever we have the ball.

Tevez played behind Mario in the cup final when Barry was replaced by Johnson. It was Mario down the middle silva on the right,Johnson left and tevez sat behind.

One slight problem.

He does'nt want to play for us!

The sooner he's moved on the better for all concerned.

Bigger and better things will follow for us as a club and as fans of that i'm sure.

Silva is by no means at all a winger. He usually has a free role and is delegated to the left wing usually for defensive purposes. This is because we mark zonally and a compact unit is crucial.

Heck, sometimes, even when we play a 4-3-3 we fall back into a 4-5-1.

EDIT: Aguero would probably be the best substitute in that role. He's probably better than Nasri in that regards. Yes, he's that good.

He could do it but I don't think he'd be as good as Silva at it. Nor as good as Nasri.

He's got the physical and technical capabilities but I don't think he's a bit more selfish than the other two. That's not a bad thing, it just means he's probably more usefully deployed as a goalscorer. 20 goals in the prem last season - if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

That is if he stays of course.

if we get a few games out of him id play him right up top in his best position. kun could be brought on as a sub until he gets used to the english game. we need to save him from the haters.

if he doesnt score a hatrick every game they'll be out for him

Do we know if he will even turn up tomorrow??

Who is following him on flight tracker for us??

Who wants to see his plane stop off in Milan or Madrid for "refueling" purposes??

I've got a bad feeling he isn't going to turn up tomorrow.

Hopefully the club will tell the truth and not try to cover it up with "delays" etc.

fbloke on Twitter reckons Tevez isn't booked on any flight in the next 24 hours and may not return. Annoying thing is, all we can do is fine him if he no-shows but as he earns such obscene money he won't care anyway.

He won't turn up. Joorabchian will make a statement: "I don't know where Carlos is. His phone doesn't work."

:)

That would be cheeky, wouldn't it?

The fine should be equivalent to one weeks wage for each week he is missing.

If he doesn't turn up he risks being in breach of his contract. Or am I completely wrong on this?
