Daily Horse Racing \ Tipping thread

Sorry slightly for diversifying, but I am going to the Cheltenham festival on the Thursday this year (part of my 50 to do before becoming 50 in June)

Any helpful tips (not horses) from forum members who have attended on making the experience more enjoyable for our party of 6, would be much appreciated.

Tough ask for junior not many 8 year olds win a national with over 11 stone.

Couldnt have a penny on the horse myself but hope it gives the lad on here a good run..

I think with the better class of horse the national is now attracting some of the stats go out the window, I think we will see more and more winners carrying 11 stone+
I actually think the exact opposite, only a couple of winners have carried over 11 stone in nearly 30 years..

For me rough quest has been the only class horse to have won it in recent times and how it had 10 stone 7 i will never know...the rest of the recent winners were plodders!

Tend to agree with this.
Whilst wishing connections all the best and not wishing to piss on anyone's chips,I think Junior is woefully short at a best-price 14's on the exchanges.
There is far better value down the handicap with horses that have proven themselves,in my opinion.
And a chaser that barely clears park fences hardly stands out as a favourite for Aintree.

Don't mix drinking with gambling expensive mistake.......

Junior is quite fairly weighted we feel. We wanted 11st, but we are happy enough. Its just nice to have a runner, the priority is he comes home safe.

Its a crying shame Beshabar is injured, he'd have gone off 10st 13 and would have won it by three fences.

As for Junior, he runs on Friday in his reappearance at Newbury. Tom Scudamore will ride him. Imagine he will be odds on. If you get above evens, have a dabble.

I think he could be bigger than evens running in a hurdle race.

Don't drink full stop, or take a portaloo, it's fucking rammed and the queues for the toilets are like nothing you've seen before.

If he is then lump on. He is dual purpose and has won big races on the flat, so he has plenty of speed for hurdles, he's at least placed in most of his runs over hurdles and he's a good jumper over fences.

Will be happy as a pig in shit over hurdles.
