He’s happy to splash his cash on £500,000 Bentleys but when it comes to value only Poundworld will do: £180,000-a-week Premier League star Raheem Sterling shows he has an eye for a bargain just like the rest of us

He earns £180,000 a week as a star Premier League footballer, drives a £500,000 Bentley car and lives in a mansion worth £3.5million.

But it appears Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling is still keen to grab a bargain, after he was spotted shopping at a Poundworld store.

The 22-year-old footballer, who is the most expensive English player ever, was seen browsing at the shop in Manchester’s Arndale Centre by stunned locals.

Journalism really has gone to shit, the majority of them just search Twitter all day and manage to write a whole article on a picture they've found or a Tweet they've seen. M.E.N don't even bother sending the journalists out anymore, they'll just go on google maps and screenshot a picture of the street.

Anyway, looks like they're back on Sterling's case, weirdos.

Fucks sake. A local resident says "he earns 180,000 a week." Rag by any chance, we all know he aint on that much.. fucking mail again

Good on him, he should do an advert for them, and give the money to a charity.

And this is news worthy, how?

WWIII is around the corner, it's all gearing to go off yet the DailyFail report some bloke who kicks a bit of leather for a living shopping in a store.

Absolute joke!

Just think, someone got paid to write this and someone got paid to sign it off.

It's not really a new thing that journalism is shit tbf. It's always been mostly shit, just that the internet has made it possible to access more of it, instantly, so it's more noticable.

A bloke I used to know was a respected sports journo back in the day & he used to go to a match (often City) write it up, usually for a real top broadsheet newspaper, then read all the other match reports & write a piece for several different Monday papers, under assumed names, on games he hadn't seen.

With tv highlights being much less,no fucker in somewhere like Newcastle, for example reading a small report on a game between two clubs down South, would have a clue some bloke in Manchester, who hadn't even seen the game live, had done the report.

And of course most of City's history has been written by the Southern press, plus Utd & Liverpool people & is still being written by them today.
