Just wanted everyone (especially the younger lads) to read this to show no matter how big and clever you think you are whilst driving you are by no means invincible.

I knew Billy and am still very much in contact with his family, I also knew what happened that night (and many other nights before it to be fair) before the inquest was concluded.

As for my opinion Billy was stupid to both drink and drive and speed excessively, I told him as much only a coule of months before said tragedy, all I can say is thank God nobody else was hurt but still RIP and condolences to his family.

sad news and R.I.P.

what a stupid thing to do, my mate drunk drove and had a little crash the other month and we all sat him down in the pub and gave him a right earful. could have quite easily killed some innocent person.

such a waste. best wishes to the family.

What on earth was he thinking of? Very sad for the family, especially knowing it was the lad's stupidity that robbed them of their son/sibling.

Sorry to hear he died, but he brought it on himself through stupid & selfish actions. As a previous poster said thank God he didn't injure or kill anyone else.

I feel sorry for his friends & family as they have to deal with the consequences.
