Dani Alves reveals Neymar convinced him to snub Manchester City

The more you read about Alves and Neymar you realise that City have dodged a bullet not signing them. Seems a lot of baggage comes with them and a lot of dodgy stuff behind the scenes. We seem to be building a solid team ethos and looks a great group of lads playing for us now.
 
I wouldn't go as far as saying "dodged a bullet" (Alves is still a bloody good player), but we may well have emerged with a better purchase in Danilo. He's looked very good in his outings so far; granted, they've only been pre season friendlies, but that's all we can go by at the moment. Plus, he's eight years younger, which is very important given Pep's high energy game. As for Neymar; were we ever seriously linked with him?
 
Well, that certainly clarifies what happened to his City move whereas I had no illusions that Neymar Jr. & Sr. were planning their exit for some time
