Very over-rated player, guess that's what playing for Barcelona does for you.
Good (at best) going forward, very poor at defending.
Rather have a solid defender behind AJ.

He hasn't signed a new deal with them yet. He gets forward a lot which I believe was the idea with Kolarov and Boateng but isn't working out too well. On the other hand, we would have to pay him mammoth wages and again a stopper has to go on this with the new FIFA rules or we'll not be playing in Europe.
Okay, llets not lie to ourselves. While I don't think we need Alves, he is a fantastic player. Both at defending and attacking. And he has the lungs of a horse. Can run all day. Unconventional in hos style. But he would be an upgrade at RB in practically any team in the world. He is a phenomenal player by any measure. The undisputed best RB in world football today. Lahm is a distant Second!

seen him and pique having a few words with each other last night for barca... brazillian.. trouble causer? he is a good player tho dont get me wrong but we dont need another brazillian spitting their dummies out.
Has a bit of an attitude. Mostly directed at the oposition. But sometimes at his teammates or the ref. He should stay at barca. Coz there, their are stars bigger than him in Messi, Xavi and Iniesta. All of whom are level headed chaps. Here he will see himself as the biggest star. You never want your biggest star to b an arrogant fuk if you can help it.
