Daniel Agger (continued)

I wouldn't read to much into Agger's quotes.

He may just be keeping his cards close to his chest. If no move materialises, he would be idolised by the LFC fans (this seems to have happened already) and if the move was to happen, Agger would be entitled to his loyalty bonus by virtue of not having requested a transfer.

And he would still be idolised by LCF fans, because it will be all the big mean owners/mcfc's fault (as usual) for forcing him to move. He's a boyhood dipper fan you know.

Van Persie is a life-long Arsenal fan

I think all this 'don't want to come' bullshit is posturing

So when he does leave it will be in a good light to the fans

I am trying to think like that also mate.cause you know where I am coming from,we only want players who will be proud to put on the blue shirt.

However 27m is ridiculous price to pay all the same

What concern is the price to any of us ? We personally aren't paying for it. It won't mean we have to alter our standard of living to afford him. Will he improve the team is all I am bothered about. Price is of no relevance to any of us.

Well at some point someone has to pay, incresaed season ticket prices etc,

What player isn't.

If he decides to stay at Liverpool then I think the guy deserves a fooking clap (or a dose of it) for staying with a club he loves.
Remember Vinny saying offers were forthcoming from other European Clubs, but he did not want to leave because of his love for City.
Very few and far between are footballers who don`t move clubs for cash or glory, albeit probably missing out on playing CL and more silverware.
Fair play to the lad and I guess we`ll find out soon enough when 31st August passes.

If Agger was to turn down the chance to sign for City (I don't believe he would) then he's an idiot in my book.

Somebody who rejects the chance to probably double his wages and play in a championship winning team that competes in the Champions League to stay with a midtable Europa League outfit with much less pay just isn't of a sane mind.

I think as someone here mentioned , when city were shit , you guys must have liked to have players who are loyal who rather stayed than move when big clubs were in , or did you called him an 'idiot' too?
