Wouldn't be the worst idea to buy him and loan him back to Melbourne. He's so inexperienced and I think it would do him good to challenge himself to really dominate a season in the A League before Europe.

And it would really annoying Victory supporters as an added bonus.

Absolutely no down side to this deal if it happens.
Worst case scenario , help develop the player either on loan at the right club or at the academy , then sell him for a healthy profit.
Best case scenario, he goes on to become a City star.
By the way , I’ve watched him a few times in the A League and he’s pretty tasty.

Apparently he is going to Celtic, even if he has a blinder, like Roberts did the season before last, what does he actually gain from this? Roberts price hasn't risen and he hasn't got the sufficient exposure or experience against top class opposition to ever challenge for us. No problem is us signing and selling, but get him in a proper league FFS.

Roberts was a higher fee purchase, and his price would be higher had he not wasted last season. He also had championship experience, arzani having a year in scotland before moving to a higher level will be a good grounding
