Sorry but sturridge is bringing it on himself, why the fuck should people support a player who's playing badly and is showing no loyalty to the club and will probably have fucked off in a matter of weeks? He doesn't give a fuck about City so why should blues stick up for him when he's playing badly?

Im a fan of sturridge and hopes he signs his contract, but after performances like today he's got to expect stick I'm afraid

And no, I didn't boo him or get on his back

Sturridge has been generally terrific this season when hes come on as a sub. But a poor 20 minutes mean "supporters" should turn their backs on him right?

i'm staggered at the attitude of some fans towards sturridge.

I never said they should turn on him and if you read my post I said it's more because of his lack of loyalty to the club as opposed to any 20 minute peformance

No. His attempts to hold this club to ransom when he has actually achieved BUGGER ALL in the game yet, mean that supporters are very dubious about his comittment to the cause, and this has been reflected in how we respond to him at games. If he were half as good as he thinks he is we would have some player on our hands, but even Diego Maradona wasn't half as good as Daniel Sturridge thinks he is!

where is the actual proof he's holding us to ransom ?
everyone seems to listen to the tabloids when it suits

I'm pretty confident City will have offered him a decent enough offer by now

so you think he aint signing because he isnt played enought sorry but he isnt good enough and he doesnt even show as if he wants to play for us, thats why the fans are on his back his attitude

I didn't think he played too badly today. He scored a goal put Elano through on goal when Robhino was offside. Yes he lost the ball at times but look around the midfielders lost the ball aswell and nothing about them. Regarding him not celebrating fair play to him lets be honest at times we were lucky out there against the bottom team. Back in the old days they hardly ever celebrate and at times I wish some of the players didn't celebrate as some of the celebratsions are shocking.

What will not change from this game is he scored he done what you want your striker to do and score goals. I would take Sturridge ahead of most of the strikers at the club because he has the ability to be a very good striker and if he gets a good run in the team I can see him breaking into the England squad in the next year or 2 get behind the lad and dont beleive whats in the papers about what he wants if we loose this lad he will come back to kick us in the balls.

Not bothered whether he stays or goes to be honest. Yeah he's young, and has talent, but I dont see him as ever being world class so I doubt we'd miss that much if he was to go. Im sure we'll be buying better strikers in the coming couple of seasons anyway.
He's good, but not as good as he thinks he is (or at least that how he comes across).
