Danny Wilson: What’s Going on?

The press are told not to report anything or they lose reporting rights

That’s why they have been scared off reporting the North Stand turmoil

I really genuinely don't think the press are scared of us one bit, they've been shitting on us for years.

In semi related news, the bbc website feed said that after it went to 2-1 & even more at 2-2 that they felt they’d be trouble in the posh seats near them (the media), because of the exhurberace of the Leeds fans that were in there. The bbc guy sounded surprised that they were there.

How are Leeds fans getting in 93:20? Or is it a case of not caring who we sell to so long as the posh seats are sold?
Have you ever been fortunate enough to sit in some of these corporate areas?

I was lucky enough last year to get tickets in the Mancunian suite against Liverpool. It was full of Liverpool fans openly celebrating!

They sell the tickets to whoever has the most money. I keep seeing people saying how great the tunnel club is, the new sky bar, the hotel - they will be full of away fans and football tourists. It’s one side of modern football, which is shite

And why does that necessitate Danny Wilson resigning? Did he beat up our poor fan? Was he there?
The security people or the police are the ones to look at surely?

Someone has to take responsibility for the farcical situation where the club actually allows touts to sell tickets in any home section to visiting fans, particularly fans of clubs with a reputation for causing trouble at games.

Danny Wilson hasn't been doing a good job for years. Too busy glad-handing with Soriano.

But all the press were talking about the ticket stuff regarding most of the clubs and mentioned ours not two weeks ago.
Not sure about the North stand but definitely tickets.

I don't know how officious he was being in your case but don't we want the stewards to be doing that?

When I was walking into N2 for the Liverpool game it took a city fan on the other side of the railing to call out someone wearing a Liverpool top under his jacket while they were running the metal detector over them
Fair point, but then the club selling tickets to just anybody kind of makes a mockery of it all

I would like to say I brought this up as a security concern with the New City Hall seating directly to Danny Wilson's team this week when they finally interacted with me. I stated I had grave concerns about away fans accessing the area and problems arising especially in what is supposed to be a family area.

There’s extra hospitality going in the north stand

Fans displaced

Simon B from MEN rings the fans promises an article the following week then nothing

This is going to happen again

Let’s hope the Blue is ok

This is what happens when the club uses 9 ticket touting partners, can't sell out home matches, makes it harder for genuine City fans to buy and transfers tickets, etc.

You end up with the club giving away tickets or selling them at a reduced price to school parties, who then begin waving their mobile phone lights on the 3rd tiers of the Colin Bell stand and the East stand.

To angry chants of.... You can stick your fucking torches up your arse from SSL1.

I wouldn’t have a problem with that if they were local schools. Half the the time it’s kids from Scotland or Ireland who don’t support city!

Ally Mann on the website commentary mentioned that Leeds fans were in his vicinity.

This is going to happen again
Never a truer word spoken, sooner or later we’ll be talking about this again.

And either we sit back and watch or get a stadium ban ourselves.

It’s a disgrace and another black mark against Soriano and his mob that seem
determined to kill the traditional fan base.

And you'll get posters on here who wonder why us FOCs wouldn't piss on a L***s fan if he was on fire. A leopard doesn't change its spots.
Take your point, but I'm a FOC and I would piss on a Leeds fan if he was on fire.

...only if I'd been drinking petrol though.

The club have overestimated what we are as a fanbase and overshot the demand for hospitality.

For decades we’ve been a mainly working class local fanbase who have a bigger club than us in our conurbation and two bigger clubs than us in our region.
For decades we were actually the fourth biggest club in our region.

We never had the affluent nationwide support that United and Liverpool do, yet the club have put in hospitality like we do.

Therefore, it’s always available for away fans to buy.

I believe it’s been bad for it going back years, and - like in the stands where the club’s ticket tout partners sell tickets to away fans without a care - makes it much less enjoyable for City fans in attendance.

I don’t think the boardroom have ever understood our support. And they certainly don’t care to learn.
