Yeah it's a long way from even the BDO ten years ago.

I see it as more of a 'warmup' event for the PDC World Championship.

You can quite often see players do well in the WDF World Championship and then the next year they'll get their PDC tour card the following year. It's a bit like Premiership, Championship with the step up in quality between the two.

I do quite enjoy the other world championships. There have always been some great characters in them.

I used to go the darts all the time years ago, Massive fan of darts but again it's another sport that's been ruined by The Hearns, It used to be great nights surrounded by people who also loved darts...

Now it's nothing but drunken idiots looking for trouble that haven't a clue about darts.

A proper legend is young Paul. As usual he's been a pleasure to watch this tournament. He seems to see tournaments now as a free hit and just enjoys his darts.

Of note as well is Sophie McKinlay being in the Girls AND Women's finals this evening.

There’s something magical about the Lakeside venue that Ally Palace doesn’t have.
