I think it can be put down to "gamesmanship"!!!!!
Newton has definitely seen his arse, but a bit of niggle doesn't hurt!!
Taylor is a master at it but in a more subtle way........ the way that Taylor stands as close behind his opponent as he is allowed to, the little clenched fists to the crowd so his opponent sees and even - and watch this - if Taylor has the hump with a player, after retrieving his darts, when he walks back, he deliberately cuts the corner of that coloured area around the oche......... and you're not supposed to encroach that area!!
Anyone remember the Premier League the other year Taylor vs King?? When Taylor had a bounce out..... okay, that cannot be helped...... but when he retrieved his darts, he was SO slow picking that one up off the floor, Mervyn King was in the zone, had his momentum, was focussed and virtually threw his first dart above Taylors head!!!
Taylor saw his arse and used all sorts of tactics to get into Kings head........ starting with the interview afterwards, when Taylor, when asked about the incident said...."well that's what Mervyn's like"!! and when King went t shake Taylor's hand, Taylor was having none of it........and it got into King's head!!
As I said........ gamesmanship!!!!
