Dave Whelan , this guy is fuckin unbeleivable!! after passing comment on how MCFC should be run, now he's on SSN saying liverpool's heart has been ripped out by the yanks. what the fuck does he know!!!! . im glad wigan beat the scousers last night , but i would love it , just love it , if wigan took their shit ground, their shit support, and their nosey , gob-shite, baconface bumming ,chairman, into the fizzy pop league FOREVER.!!!!!!!!........................rant over.......... hate the twat
 
he always states the obvious, like i think a prem team could go in to admin..knowing full well that as a chairman he has sat around a table with other chairmen and discussed that no one will help pompey, just watch the thick scousers jump on the bandwagon now and start having more demos against the yanks...what a pity whelan dosn t mention how his beloved wigan always lie down for trafford and let them win by three or four goals most meetings in the league
 
Wonder what he'd say if an Arab billionaire offered a £200 million investment to be a silent partner.Would he say "No thanks,it would rip the soul out of our club"? Would he fuck.

And he's renamed his gyms too, "DW Sports". Makes me smile every morning though when I see the huge dusty piles of his autobiography which remain undiminished.

you might hate him but he`s done a fantastic job for wigan, who`s fans must be on cloud nine at being in the prem at all
 
He bankrolled Wigan to the Premier League, vastly outspending rivals in the lower leagues at the time. It just so happens that his money isn't strong enough at this level, so he changes the argument to "soul". Get the fuck out of here.
 
why does this bloke always go on about 'foreigners' owning football clubs? i reckon beyond the holier than thou facade lies some deeply unpleasant views.

Wonder what those same Wigan fans made of their chairman calling another club's manager "The Maestro"? The guy is an embarrassment. Accusing Anfield of having no atmosphere; that may well be true these days, but the DW (Deluded Wanker?) stadium doesn't appear to be bouncing whenever I see it on TV; always seem to be plenty of empty seats as well. And they're in a one club town? The words 'Pot', 'Kettle' and 'Black' spring to mind.

He always goes on about too many foreign players and managers too, which is real hypocrisy when you look at Wigans's squad and manager!
 
The guy seems to forget how he bankrolled Wigan out of the lower divisions, paying more than anyone else. It was only when they arrived in the prem that he couldnt keep up because of the sums involved.
I live in Wigan, he is disliked by many in the town. He bought Orrell rugby union club about 10 years ago,then sold the training pitches to developers who built a new housing estate, the club is now on its knees, because he didnt put the money back into the club. He is a prick of the highest order.

Saying he is disliked in Wigan is an understatement. I can't understand why Latics fans dislike him when they would have been bust if it was not for him. Thankfully he has nothing to do with the Warriors now but no doubt he will buy it back when Disney F.C. (Mickey Mouse club) are back where they belong in the fizzy pop and his ego trip wears thin.

Not long ago he said he would never hire a foreign manager.

And he stood by that, by employing Roberto Martinez.
