Thought that came from the late Ron Pickering although Coleman dropped plenty of gaffes himself. DC always made the Cup Final seem the most exciting game ever.

Yeah but 3 minutes of grainy footage from Prague or somewhere of a barely distinguishable game between the bin dippers and a team with an unlikely name including a word like Sparta or Torpedo was how we consumed football on a Wednesday night - that was all we could get an its now so evocative of its age and the world of TV sport. Lets face it thats more or less the type of footage we get of a certain team vs Gornik in the 70 Cup Winners Cup final - its my youth , I miss it and I will miss the likes of David Colema.
