David Coote | Charged with making indecent video of a child (p57)

And this is what social media can do, be it true or not

We don’t lose many, so it stands to reason a ref that only recently became a top flight ref wouldn’t see us lose. Plus, he hasn’t had too many big City games.

We all know that statistics can be made to make almost any argument, but I’m not even sure what argument is being made here?

That City are perennial winners or that Liverpool have got a fair shake from him?!

Just accept it that the integrity of the game is at question here. It was a definite penalty. Frank Lampards interview about his 3 year old kid would have whistled for that penalty.
I am definitely a doubter now. Chris K was in the VAR panel. Doubts galore.
If Everton scored that penalty, then both Liverpool and Man City were tied on 63 points each after 27 games. Liverpool lost that league by a single point.
Wow. You still going.on about the Rodri handball?
How many years on is this now?

1. Was it hand ball? Yes.
2. Should it have been a penalty if so? Yes.
3. So why wasn't it handball and a penalty? Because Richarlason was given offside in the lead up to the move before Rodri handballed it.

Now please get over it and move on.

The weird thing is they have dug up the Rodri handball incident up because of what Coote said & added it to a very long list of reasons why they didnt win things but Coote wasnt involved in that game in any way?

I have pointed this out previously but if you watch this over the referee re starts the game with an indirect free kick on the edge of the box. This means it was off side before rodri became involved

I'm not sure about this. Richarlison was definitely a very close decision, but with the angles I wouldn't be 100%.

However, I am pretty certain that the ref is giving a later decision, from after the Rodri incident. Just before he calls offside, the ball is played forward to a player on the far side of the pitch, who was a bit slow moving back onside. That looks to be a clearer offside to me, and is also in the correct position for Ederson's free kick. The initial "offside" was about 15 yards further up the pitch.

The other person seen in the video has now been identified and suspended from his job.
When the video was made (4 years ago) he didn't work for the company and since he started, he has been an exemplary employee.

What has this country turned into ? This bloke has nothing to do with football, he has committed no crime and yet he has been suspended.
Joke

Coote was the ref that let Fabinho away with a disgraceful tackle in an FA Cup game v Brighton a few years ago, on Evan Ferguson.
You won't hear that though, just about the non red card for Pickford on Van Dijk. I don't see that that had much of an impact on Liverpool's season that Pickford didn't get a red card that day. It wouldn't have changed the fact that VVD was out for the year so that was their season fucked.

Also, funny but not surprising to hear Danny Mills on Talksport saying Coote was part of the refereeing team who didn't give the Rodri handball at Everton.
The amount of false information that the Dippers can put out there is unreal.

I stopped reading as soon as the words "Danny Mills" came in contact with my eyes

Would you be fine if a Ref told the same about Guardiola and you turn around a couple years backlog to find contentious decisions against Man City?
Would you accept it?
Can we now claim the 81 league cup final as Alf Grey disallowed a perfectly good Reeves goal...
No we can't..we aren't victims
