I stumbled accross the daily mirror today, not read one for a long time. I was daft enough to read the shite printed in it though.
Surely i thought, Guardiola coming to the premier league can only be seen by all clubs to be positive as this is what gives the PL more TV air time round the world.. In return this then pumps more money into the clubs through TV rights. PL seen as the best league in the world, it needs the best players and best managers. With this in mind I felt quite confident that there would be a half decent wright up.
But oh no, A crock of shit about attendances. I was watching city in the late 70's where we averaged 42,000 and for local derbies we had 52,000, so why the bollocks about 28,000 crowd ? Imagine the biggest news for money years about a new manager rated number one in the world but yet the write up is about attendances !
Obviously this prick knows nothing about business.. If a seat is empty it costs nothing if seat could have been sold but you have not the capacity then you have lost money. ..

How many none City fans would click on a new manager announcement for City, not many so as far as his well researched readership is concerned an anti City story will keep him in a job until the digital revolution catches up with The Mirror as it did with The Financial Times.

Do people still read newspapers? I suppose we haven't evolved that far yet.
It's also actually quite funny seeing the way that this 'Mirror' idiot manages to omit totally any details of our huge increase in league match attendances....averaging 54,000...and it also looks like Leicester will be a full house of about 54,500 on Saturday.
I feel sure though that such a fine and unbiased journalist will balance things up in his article next week by pointing out this very revealing statistic.....hahaha!!!....what's that saying....we'll have to wait until hell freezes over!!!!!!!!.

All newspapers on-line digital agendas are failing and in football terms this has led them to be Rag Fanzines with sections for Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea with occasional sections for City and Spurs.
All articles are written to click bait Utd, Arsenal, Liverpool and Chelsea fans in that order.
As such articles on City are written as click bait to get as many rags as possible to read and gain advertising revenue.
Similarly for Spurs articles with Arse fans.
Then you have the London effect and as Trafford is in North-London they get good treatment.
Trolling is positively encouraged as well as this is good click bait.
The end result of course is that fans of every other club are deserting the nationals in droves.
It's no different in other areas of the press. The whole thing is a race to the bottom pandering to the majority in each section of the paper.
The end result, of course, will be that all the papers will go bust as the majorities are actually minorities of their current readerships. The sooner the better as far as I'm concerned.
Sadly in it's wake this could also lead to the death of our democracy as there is no strong voice to counter government (of whatever colour).
