Not bad for a defensively lazy fancy dan.
Also with him doing that it allowed Gundogen a lot more space to get forward to arrive late in the box, i hope this is the shape of things to come because with Gundogen sitting deeper alongside Dinho it wasn't really working as he's more effective in and around the box, Dinho sitting, with Silva and Gundogen playing fluid in the hole they'd both be a nightmare to pick up......hopefully the same Tuesday because over in Barca if Gundogen had put that chance away it may have been a different outcome.Silva played a bit deeper yesterday than he normally does. Especially in the first half. he played well too. Pivotal in getting the ball quicker up the pitch to Nolito, Sterling and Aguero.
Agree 100% Gundogan's best game for us because he had slightly more space and time. Also with him doing that it allowed Gundogen a lot more space to get forward to arrive late in the box, i hope this is the shape of things to come because with Gundogen sitting deeper alongside Dinho it wasn't really working as he's more effective in and around the box, Dinho sitting, with Silva and Gundogen playing fluid in the hole they'd both be a nightmare to pick up......hopefully the same Tuesday because over in Barca if Gundogen had put that chance away it may have been a different outcome.

His first thought is "forward". Playing that Modric role is ideal for Silva IMO. Against Southampton last week he was pretty much the only player who was passing forwards consistently in the first half and if he can play there all the time he'd be ideal to start off attacks.Silva played a bit deeper yesterday than he normally does. Surely not. He's the world's greatest hide and seek champion of the past 12 months. How stupid can Pep be?http://futbol.as.com/futbol/2016/10/31/primera/1477882535_851076.html
Interview with Marti Perarnau in AS today - on the subject of how Pep will play his style of football in England :
Q -That will take a leader on the pitch - who is it?
MP - At Bayern it was Lahm - Here it is David Silva.
Q - Is that because of his game over his Character?
MP - Lahm was a quiet leader, was a highly respected captain. And Silva is not Xavi Hernandez and Xabi Alonso, but their leader.
Sounds like Dave is very much in Pep's plans.
