Spot on mate. When we talk about players not having the mentality to grind out wins when we go behind, he is top of the list unfortunately. If things aren't going well it's a shrug of the shoulders and a tactical retreat from our Dave. Another one I feared for under Guardiola and my fears are being realised. Dave has been a pleasure to watch but he's peaked and we need to sell next summer, it will be our best chance for some money from Spain.
Doesn't have the grit or the fitness to push beyond his own perceived limits, which isn't unusual for players with great technique, when the rosier parts of the game come all too easy.
Pep's standards were supposed to expose the limitations in our cannon fodder but the bigger established stars are also coming up short.

I understand what you're saying but personally, 'cashing in' on one of the best players the club has ever had, just in order to make a few quid that we don't need, I find that appalling and disrespectful.
He should be allowed to finish his contract and move back home to Gran Canaria to enjoy his retirement. He owes the club, and us fans, absolutely nothing.
