insaneee performance. By far the best player on the pitch only with Sterling coming anywhere close.

The deliberate delay on the pass to Nolito for the first goal was stunning, so many players would have played it early. I'm still amazed that a few posters on here had him written off in close-season.

@City_Sean @Jack74 @BillyShears @Zin 'messiah' Zimmer

What do you reckon lads, maybe wrote him off too early? Not having a go, genuine question.

(and for the record I thought DeBruyne's performance today was on just as high a level as Silva's).

If he plays like he did in the first half yesterday I will have no complaints he was that good , but he has never played that well before in the previous 6 years he as been here .

But really don't wanna get involved as am the one who gets banned for having an opinion

I think he's been decent for a majority of the games this season, however, those who pointed towards his down turn also made it clear that they felt he'd lost a yard, I think I'll reserve judgement until 20 or so games in... He also started the season in exactly the same fashion last year, then the injury....

I've said on numerous occasions, his achillies heel is in front of goal, it's why KDB will take up his role in the near future, however, if he keeps up the same desire throughout the season, I'll gladly hold my hands up, bit early for going down on all fours though...

A good start to the season...

Never relied on pace and never will, 3 or 4 great years still to come from him. David's pace is in his head. A footballing genius and still an absolute joy to watch.

You are joking?

Or did you not see his performance away to Hull on the day Vinnie was sent off?

Knob!

I said months ago that under Pep, Dave would be our Iniesta and his role in the build up for our opening goal yesterday was something Iniesta has been doing for years.

It wasn't just picking the right pass, it was the delay so that the right pass would be in a better position.

It's a shame that there is no assist for an assist because I reckon Dave will get around 20 this season.

I may be wrong but I think he gets those in the form of 'chances created'. Seems to be rolled out these days as often as assists so I'm sure we'll see something about it soon if he carries on.
