The team photo with 4 trophies conformed that to me, normally the skipper sits front and centre in those, look who the two there are, I suspect they are skipper and vice next season.

The sun story does David a great disservice for me, trying to suggest he's money driven, and yet we all know he's football and family driven, if he wants to look after his family more, he'll go home, and he's more than enough money to do it, if he wants to keep playing football why the f*ck would he go to Qatar, when he can still compete at the very top of football.

Things with Qatar is that any income there is not taxable. 12 million there is like 500k per week in Europe.

I know he dropped off a bit in the second half of last season but I think he'll come back revitalized next season with no tournament football this summer.

One thing I will repeat. David will NOT leave City this summer. He has a contract. He has 10 years in his head as a major 'english' milestone. I am very, very proud to say I influenced him on those thoughts. I told him he would have to be here 10 years to he spoken in the same terms of Colin Bell. For your info there is a picture of Colin in David's box at the Etihad. He is fully aware of the significance of Colin.
So, he ain't leaving this summer. Next summer yes. A contract is a contract.
