David Silva: Is he untouchable?

Was just thinking; what if Real or Barcelona decided to try to get Silva at all costs, - would we sell him? Or is he untouchable, much like Messi is for Barcelona?
It's a thought which scares me to be honest. I wonder what kind of fee we would be talking about if it happened; +£80mil for sure.

Please tell me not to worry, and that Silva will remain a City player for as long as we want him to.

It's ultimately his decision. Look at what Cesc did to Arsenal, ask any Arsenal fan two seasons ago and he was untouchable.

He has two years left on his contract after this season. I'm sure extension talks will begin this next summer at the latest.

Once we finally have a new CEO in place I would have thought that his number one priority would be a new contract for Merlin.

And to think Liverpool paid £11mIllion more for Andy Carroll.......bwahaha

Yup, just goes to show you that transfer fees =/= quality of player.

Just look at Clichy.

I genuinely think he is happy here. He is the fulcrum of the team and quickly becoming the face of the Premier League. I remember when he joined that was one of the reasons he stated as a reason why. That Mancini would build the team around him. he likes that and I don't think he would get it in Spain.

He's had a great start to the season, but let's not get carried away. £80m? Man alive, we'd probably get £40m for him. However, he's going nowhere, he's an absolute lynchpin in our team and without him we wouldn't be the same.
