Apologies to Colin the King , but in my opinion we are about to lose the best player ever to play for the club or at least the fifty odd years i've been watching god's own team , and unlike some i won't be sad or morose when he pulls on the blue shirt for the last , i will celebrate all the magic he has brought to our club. Obviously i will be accused of wearing my sky tinted glasses , but he is the best midfield player ever to grace the Premier league , others can argue about Zola, Bergkamp, ****ana etc., and all the other pretenders , but none of them did it consistently for a decade , David Silva is the best ever midfield player to grace these shores ,bar none , no argument. Where do you want your statue Merlin ?

Sometimes, when you know something is going to happen, and you know you're not going to like it, actually occurs, it doesn't make it any easier.

My favourite ever City player, just sensational, yet understated, he doesn't get the recognition he deserves, yet most opposition fans know just how good he is, he assists the assist so many times, it's his pass that cuts open a packed defence, his brain is his best attribute, there's rarely in world football, been such an intelligent player.

The goal at Blackpool, the one at QPR that gave us a magnificent image of him, the assist in the 1-6, so many magical moments.

I'm going to be in tears when he leaves, I know I am, and I'll be half a century old by then.
