Tempus fugit.
We have a hierarchy that looks forward constantly to lift this club higher and higher. So we have Bernado, we have Foden, and the club will be on constant look out for more.
David is the greatest creative player ever to grace this club. No need to compare to Colin who is still the greatest "all court" player we have had.
Thank you David for fantastic service, make your last season another record breaker.
Never to be forgotten but Time and tide wait for no man.
 
Gutted, it's been wonderful to see him in a City shirt.
Classy on and off the pitch, special player and a good man.
 
What an emotional season this is going to be. Not looking forward to saying goodbye on the last game of the season. The ground will be flooded with tears that day.
 
Haven't ever been to arsed about the champions league but would love it if he left city having won everything there is to win in the game.

Thankful for the class both on and off the pitch he brought the club, helped us immensely to change the perception of the club.

Its been an absolute pleasure to watch Merlin over the years, such a graceful artist and a consummate professional. I wish him and his family nothing but health and happiness wherever they decide to go. It would be a pleasure to see him as a guest ex player in years to come

Truly tough to come up with the right words on how this makes me feel

On one hand I'm devastated. Like so many others Dave has been my favorite player for nearly a decade, and I'm not ready to see him go

On the other hand, I'm grateful I've been able to watch him work his magic week in and week out for so long. I'm happy for him, and all that he's accomplished in his career both on and off the pitch. He's easily the best player I've ever seen at City, and I'd take it further and say the best I've seen in the the league. I don't want to make opinionated comparisons to other players, but I'll just say I can count the number players who have been as consistently excellent as Dave this past decade on one hand, with fingers to spare. He's criminally underrated at both the club and national level by far too many neutrals

Here's hoping his final season is the best yet. I can think of one last trophy he'd probably love to win...
 
Truly exceptional man, and player. Ain’t nobody else like him, and we have been blessed. Let’s give him a year to remember.

i suspect he’ll be slowly phased out over the next season. Although gutted to see him come to the end of his career with us, need to accept king will be dead, long live the king (time for Foden)
