We are so lucky to have had him - he glided around the pitch like no one else we have ever seen - allergic to panic and so so gifted - my grandson thinks he is called “the great David Silva” and that’s the way it will always be - quite simply a genius- thanks Dave and good luck in the future

When he's fit next summer we need an Aguero XI v Silva XI. Aguero can take the ceremonial kick off.

We were robbed of proper send offs for the pair of them.

Fuck sake awful way for such a player to suddenly end his career,yes David was in the twilight of his career but still had a lot to offer,and as some have posted if we had of got sociedad in the champions league it would have been a fitting way to give him one final send off what a fucking player,still my favourite and probably level with Colin Bell as City’s greatest players,well that’s my opinion anyhow ..
