It would be nice to see him link up with Silva again.

I can see Barca selling him as they have Tello coming through. He wont be cheap despite his age in my opinion.
 
Like Chiellini this is another wind up that always crops up every transfer window.
 
Probably bullshit but remember that quote from Tolmie about some of La Liga's biggest stars leaving Spain.
 
We don't need another striker, he's 30 (I think?) and has not long come back from a bad injury so isn't match sharp. I'd take him if we needed a striker, but not from more than £15 million.

Barça WON'T sell Villa. He just came back from injury to score on his first game back, and the main area they've lacking in all that time has been up front. Why would they sell, unless they brought in another world class striker?

I'll go even further.

Not only don't I believe that this transfer will happen (Villa), but I also believe the the OP completely fabricated his story.
 
Before his injury they were looking to cash in on him. was not starting games, and did not fit into style, was plenty of speculation about this in Spain. I spend a lot time there and read much about this. People tend to forget the facts after a long time out. However a real hero to the fans, and would not go down well. £5m tops.

Silva and Villa were sending messages to each other through twitter a couple of weeks ago and Silva said that he's expecting someone to join City.

Still though don't think it is possible, Villa just got back to playing for FCB and he will surely not leave.
