De Bruyne injury - Back in Training (p89)

I imagine he will. Can't see him starting as they'll want to gradually ease him back in, but he'll have been back in full training for a couple of weeks by the time of the game so no reason not be involved.

I remember about 2 seasons ago when David Silva was out once for a short while and the reception he got when he came on off the bench was fantastic. Love those moments at games. It was like we had scored when he made his run down the side of the pitch to warm up then when he finally came on it was brilliant. (Think he gave the ball away about 3 times when he did come on, but still it didn't dampen the mood ha!)

Is there likely to be a full scale "behind closed doors" friendly arranged?
Thought I heard on a podcast that this may be happening to help Kev regain match fitness.

All these permutations of our midfield are pretty mindblowing and I wouldn’t rule another addition in January if a Fern successor comes on the market (Ndombele or F de Jong).
It’s a nice problem to have but excepting an injury crisis there are going to be one or two players getting hardly any game time.
You can have too many permutations. A team needs some continuity.

I think that if Sane had played from the start, we'd have been better. Well as Mendy played against Liverpool, I think City are at our best with Sane in the side and are limited offensively when he's not playing. The team may evolve and prove me wrong, but at this moment, City are better with Sane in the side.

That was in pellegrinis last season. He was completely off the boil though, kept on giving the ball away like you said.

We'll probably have to expect Kev to be similar won't we as lets not forget its early July the last time he played (Except his 20 mins against Arsenal). Hopefully by Spurs at the end of Oct he will be back to his best. Certainly by the time we play the Rags in early Nov.

But should we just settle for what works best now or strive to devise a style of play where both of these talented players can compliment each other?
Don’t think it’s in Peps nature to accept defeat on this combination so meekly.

Fern will be fine until January, will give us everything he's got.

That way, the set-up can be to rest Dave, and complete the midfield with Bernardo and Kev.

Personally, when he's got a bit more meat on him, I think Foden could do an amazing job there.

I decided to watch a bit more of this lad Ndombele. He's perfect for us in many ways.
Be carefully mate, don't rite Dino off someone may jump down your throat & call you a ... head.

What's your view on the Jorginio fiasco??

Don't forget Rabiot - a lot of clubs know they can agree pre-contract on a free in Jan. It might ease things between PSG and our club if we offered something generous.

Anyway back on topic. Kev is good for Jesus, and Mahrez and Sane. Expecting improved movement from these players and MORE goals.

As a point of interest. Why do we need to "ease" things with PSG ?

if we can not beat burnley at home without KDB something is wrong ?? yes get him match fit but from the bench slowly feed him back into the game again, and if we are still needing something from the bench and the games is park the bus by the burnley players and fans packed into the box and goal mouth then send him on

KDB looked dead and gone at the end of last season and the world cup did him no favours so for the sake of 3 points why gamble when long term we are talking about the world best player here and another 6 to 8 years at the top if we look after him in the right way
