De Bruyne?

So a set piece specialist as well? corners for instance??;-)

I haven't seen a great deal of him but I suspect we'd be purchasing a better, more direct and pacier Nasri?

He's not as good on the ball as Nasri, in terms of retaining possession. But he's better at being more direct. He'll try and beat his man with pace or trickery, he's very willing to play a difficult through ball and is good either wide or more centrally and isn't afraid to take a shot on. I'd put it like this - if we were 1-0 up and protecting a lead then Nasri would be the man to send on, if it's 0-0 you'd rather send De Bruyne on - he'll get you the goal or create the scoring opportunity.

Makes sense,ta.

As much as i want pogba, KDB is the one i want the most imagine the amount of service and chances Sergio and Sterling will get with Silva, Yaya and KDB behind. Stuff of Dreams !!

Hi BlueMoonView..I agree mate....De Bruyne will make those around him better and his playing style is perfect for the prem.....I'm just hoping negotiations don't drag on as that could allow teams like PSG to join the race....I think the Pogba deal was always going to be difficult so wont be as disappointed if that doesn't work out....De Bruyne should be our main target now!;)

Haha... But, if you look at what in the press was, just days after City maked clear we wanted him, it gaves me a feeling of, that the "snake" Delph was in some way forced or influenced to make this statement of loyalty to the Villa fans... or??? Its just me wo think that... ??
I have no idea mate,i honestly couldn't care less about the circumstances....that's a personal matter...... i'm just glad we got the kid and hopefully we can get this one too.

Really don't get this transfer to be honest, seems really unneccessary with the players we have and the youngsters we have coming through. CM and LB seems far more pressing, but I guess those in charge think he's worth prioritising. We'll be massively overstacked in the attacking midfield area if we pull this off though, surely we have to be looking to offload Nasri?

dont see the point in this transfer we have more than enough attacking players, if anything its just going to block the young players from playing

We'd have Nasri,Lopes, and Navas in 'competition' - If KDB is a significant upgrade on all 3 then it makes sense to me.

Youre right though,id be looking to sell Nasri......but that is far easier said than done given the financial implications.

Sterling, de Bruyne & Delph to replace Lampard, Milner, Dzeko & Jovetic hardly seems like overstacking ?

Yep same here.
We've got enough to get us through.

I agree manimanc, Kippax...the only thing I would say is that we've done enough to "improve" BUT have we done enough to challenge for the CL and win back the prem? I love the Sterling/Delph signings but not sure those 2 signings alone are enough to get us where owners want us to be....As Yaya mentioned in his interview, we still need a couple of players to reach the next level....

Yaya says #mcfc are "a couple of good players" away from being at the level of Barcelona or Real Madrid

Sterling/Nasri Silva/Lopes KDB/Navas

What's the issue here? 5/6 can play all 3 positions. The Barker's/Roberts duo aren't as good as KDB with all that he brings right now. If we are trying to regain the league and push on in CL we need a KDB in this team so our levels don't drop if we happen to rotate during a multiple game week.

Dzeko and Jovetic are almost out of the door. So we are going to be fine in attack with major improvements across the pitch.

Let's hope that Toure is fully aware of who those players might be and when they might be onboard (He has to be)
