There is not hate there whatsoever - just my opinion (that he is a good player nothing more), and perhaps this is an ilustration that Mancini also shares my opinion.

De Jong does get a little bit overrated on here due to his slide tackles. He's a good defensive midfielder but he's not the best in the world and could improve certain aspects of his game.

Wouldn't let him go though. No chance.

Carrick is feckin awful. Get a grip

Carrick is not awful at all, he is an excellent passer and keeps the game ticking along nicely (I am not saying De Jong posses these attributes)

What I am saying is that he can do a job in some games but should not be a guaranteed starting place.

well i know who i would rather have in my team you stick with carrick, as one thing you are forgetting is consistency which is what you get with de jong as for carrick does'nt show this in enough games maybe five or six a season imo...
