Maybe Mancini believes that we could do better and that De Jong would have a sell-on value? Just a suggestion
and the hate for de jong goes on.. its fucking boring now sabster

There is not hate there whatsoever - just my opinion (that he is a good player nothing more), and perhaps this is an ilustration that Mancini also shares my opinion.

So if this is complete bollocks, as most believe it is, perhaps it is an illustration that Mancini rates him extremely highly, as he named De Jong as much as possible last season and has no reason to overhaul such an important fragment of the most defensively sound setup in the world's best football league.

Your comparing him to carrick omfg
Carrick is feckin awful. Get a grip

Carrick is not awful at all, he is an excellent passer and keeps the game ticking along nicely (I am not saying De Jong posses these attributes)

What I am saying is that he can do a job in some games but should not be a guaranteed starting place.
well i know who i would rather have in my team you stick with carrick, as one thing you are forgetting is consistency which is what you get with de jong as for carrick does'nt show this in enough games maybe five or six a season imo...

I am not advocating that we sign carrick, just giving an example of an equivalent player.

Only time will tell in the 1st respect, but come 1/4 of the way through next season I person believe De jong will not be starting regularly.

What is you opinion of Barry? (Let me guess you think he is shit and slow etc etc)

To quote you:

"he named Barry as much as possible last season, and even rushed him out of injury for a cup final, and has no reason to overhaul such an important fragment of the most defensively sound setup in the world's best football league."

Napoli could be talking about non city players, but the press have used De Jong because he plays for us, doesn't say De Jongs agent talking to Napoli about De Jong does it?

i know that, but was following on by comparing them as you used carrick as the example which if you think about it was a poor choice..
