De Jong & Barry or De Jong & Yaya Toure, it's a no-brainer...........
It's gotta be De Jong & Toure all day long. I'd then move Barry to left back to provide competition for Bridge. Kompany could provide competition & cover for De Jong & Toure and Ireland could provide competition & cover for Tevez......... Simples!!! :-)

Fails on the moving of Barry to LB this.... his lack of pace would be a huge handicap there! If we dont buy a recognized LB in Jan, we move Lescott there IMO!

umm, yaya is a real passer of the ball. NDJ is, indeed, an animal, but his passing range and accuracy is very limited compared to most midfielders. I'd take yaya, definitely, as we are not passing the ball through the middle enough ATM.

I think De Jong is rapidly becoming the best player in his position around, if he isn't already.
Yaya wants to move because he can't get in the Barca team, they want to buy Mascherano to fill the DM gap and in all honesty, De Jong is, in my eyes, in a different league to Mascherano.
He'd have to adapt his position to fit into our squad, can he play a more central role?

It worked for Arsenal when they had Vieira in the middle with Petit behind him and Bergkamp in front.
