Yes there are better players but they are not Nige, he should never have gone

We never should have let him leave, as i see it he didn't like the bench he was seeing more and more of last season.

Especially as we seemed so assured when he played.

I am at a loss as to why we let this happen, forget resale value with a guy like him, you keep them.

I can only speculate why this happened though.

Its been quite clear for a long time mate. Not playing, wouldn't sign new contract, asked if he could leave for first team football!!
The big one is HE ASKED TO LEAVE people need to remember that

why shouldnt he have? he wasn't good enough to start and when he did he was limited, a great tackler but not a good passer, he wouldnt of made a difference to us in europe this season IMO.

What drove his decision though ?

If it was solely due to his lack of playing time then that would be annoying.

Well the speculation is he wanted parity with the top earners and we offered him 100k, as he was turning into a squad player he was never going to get parity. Also I dont think he wanted to be a squad player, I guess he had a chat with Mancini and decided it was time to move on. Strange thing with the money is he accepted 90k a week at AC Milan so you have to think first team football must of been a very big thing for him

Nigel De Jong head back to man city?

MANCHESTER CITY may look to capitalise in the January transfer window following the news that Nigel de Jong has been placed on AC Milan’s transfer list.

More than likely a load of shite, granted he will be in no position to play football until next season because of his injury but I for one would Love to see him back!

Re: Nigel De Jong head back to man city?

Would take him back in a heartbeat.

Although, he ruptured his achilles at the weekend and is out for the season!
