De jong

Re: Nigel De Jong head back to man city?

That is the most poorly translated piece of drivel to go in to an English paper

They were talking about him being out for the season and needing to go in the transfer market to fill his position. Good god what a pile of shit

Best news to come out this week......IF it's true.....

Why the f*** did he ever leave in the first place - TOP, TOP player for City and LOVE him back.....

He'll get over the injuy, NO problem, and put a few to shame......

He asked to leave so im doubtful he would come back. He isnt on the transfer list and even if he was he is out for the season
Signing a dead shrew would be as useful, wanted and would probably like to come more than NDJ

If you ever needed evidence that sports journalism is this country is written by troops of chimps

Re: Nigel De Jong head back to man city?

It's unbelievable someone is paid good money to mistranslate an Italian article like that. Bloody hell you don't need to visit Italian sites to know De Jong is seriously injured, it was all over Twitter in English too.

Re: Nigel De Jong head back to man city?

Nigel De Jong without a head is twice the player Garcia is.

Why the F*ck did we not offer him more playing time + better contract. Would only lose thousands of pounds and not the millions we forked over for Garcia/Rodwell. He fought for the shirt, something that we should all applaud. Not like Balo or Nasri.

He was offered a new improved contract and he diden´t want to sign, get over it and how can RM possibly promise him more playing time if Gareth, Yaya and Milner out performs him, doesen´t make sense.....

as much as i liked de jong, there are far better players who could improve us.
Yes there are better players but they are not Nige, he should never have gone

why shouldnt he have? he wasn't good enough to start and when he did he was limited, a great tackler but not a good passer, he wouldnt of made a difference to us in europe this season IMO.

he wouldnt of made a difference to us in europe this season

Dont talk shit. Miles better than Garcia who was utter wank in every CL game he played in.

We would've been way more solid with NDJ in the team.

Certainly better than Garcia on current evidence but I also can't see any great difference he would have made. Our problems in Europe were a lot deeper than the lack of a good holding midfielder. I'd suggest we need more than a good holding midfielder in our system, we need high-end midfielders who can do more than hold but who can pass well and link the play better than ours do. Of all the midfielders we've bought and stockpiled only Yaya is good enough at the highest level IMO and with him underperforming we were well and truly fooked this year.

By your own admission he is better than Garcia therefore it clearly would have made some difference had he played in the CL rather than Garcia.

As an example, in the game v Dortmund at home where both Garcia and Rodwell got severely bummed, there is no fucking way NDJ wouldn't have done a much better job.

Letting DJ go was not the wrong decision, failing to sign a more cultured/adaptable replacement definitely was.
