A good shout on Moutinho and not an impossible signing. Alonso is a long shot even though they are not extending his current contract, they will still use him for a number of games. Sahin is a very good player but I don't think he suits Roberto's profile of a midfielder.

Khedira or Sahin. Are they better than DDR ? NO! Better than NDJ ? YES!

Moutinho and Witsel strike me as the two who would probably be available, but would be expensive. Not as good as De Rossi though.
Khedira or Sahin would be good enough alternatives I suppose but in terms of all-round midfield play, Moutinho and Witsel are ahead of the two imo. Khedira probably unattainable as well.
